Nokia N85

Nokia N85 Mobile Phone Review - N-Gage With the Ultimate Nokia Handset
By Carlson Osbourne

Nokia is undoubtedly one of the most popular mobile phone manufacturers out there today, although it is fair to say that it has produced just as many misses as hits in the last few years. However, their latest offering is out to redress the balance in favour of the hits and, if all the reports are to be believed, the Nokia N85 does just that. However, an unbiased review is always a good tool so read on to find out the lowdown about the Nokia N85 and just what it can give you.

The Smart Slider

The Nokia N85 is a slider phone rather than the touch screen that many people would have expected it to be. The slide mechanism is incredibly sturdy without appearing to be too heavy. In fact, the whole phone appears to smart and sophisticated with just the right measure of sleek sexiness thrown in. Designed to appeal to a business as well as personal user, the Nokia N85’s black casing is just as practical as it is attractive.

The handset itself is dominated by the 2.6 inch OLED screen, which presents 16 million colours and a QVGA resolution so you are guaranteed an amazing experience when using the camera on board.

Packed Full Of Features

The Nokia N85 is more than just a pretty face though. With a features list that has almost everything, this Smartphone literally has something for everyone. For example, the music player gives a god quality sound so you can take full advantage and listen to your favourite tunes. It supports all popular file formats so you have no need to worry about compatibility. There is also a gaming platform on the Nokia N85 that is known as N-Gage. The gaming software is well thought out and gives the user a good mobile gaming experience but it obviously is not up to the standards of the DS or PSP.

There is also a decent web browser, Bluetooth and HSDPA connectivity within the Nokia N85 but the best feature is the usual Nokia 5MP camera. It comes complete with a range of features to increase the quality of the pictures and it must be said that the autofocus and dual LED flash do just that.

There are a few elements of the Nokia N85 that do let this otherwise solid handset down. The lack of Wi-Fi is especially noticeable given the connectivity options that the Smartphone does have. As such, it is worth considering whether or not it is something that you can do without. There is also a significant lag on the zoom of the camera, which can prove to be a little annoying. It is there but is surprisingly slow given just how effective and efficient all of the other features are.

However, despite those few little niggles, the Nokia N85 is a handset that anyone can be proud of. It literally has everything you need on there for a business or personal phone. As such, it is no wonder that it comes highly recommended!

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Review

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Review
By Dave Ashton

The outer design of this Sony Model mobile phone is sleek and slim and features a keyboard onscreen QWERTY. Its size is 4.7x2.5x0.5 inches, leaving it slightly shorter and slimmer than a U.S. one dollar bill. It is available in a shiny chic black or lustrous white color. It comes equipped with an 8.1 megapixel camera with a 16 times digital zoom with automatic focus, making it perfect for those who place great importance on picture taking. Pictures can be automatically sent to the Web. Xperia X10 has Geo-tagging, which instantly records the information on where the picture was taken, saving the user from having to record this information themselves. It comes with the Android Operating System and is SIM free and unlocked, meaning it can be used with most all major services providers and retails it retails at an affordable price for most users.

The phone has many standards available for music lovers. Track identification, Media Player, Album Art, Bluetooth stereo, Play Now and Music Tones are the main components an avid music person would find  highly useful. It has WiFi capabilities making it easy to keep up with email and web feeds. Media, Youtube, 3D Games, Video Streaming, Video Clips and Sony Ericsson Mediascape come standard for those who like to entertain themselves or others without having to carry the bigger cellular models coming out to compete in the marketplace.

Xperia X10 comes with a micro USB connector and the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. Bad with directions or travel a lot for work or play? Take advantage of the Wisepilot turn by turn navigation system and Google maps. All the basic email, text messages, picture messages and predictive text input make this an easy phone for daily texting activities. Its communication apps are Twitter, Sony Ericsson Timescape Integration and Facebook. The basic organization tools such as an alarm, calendar, calculator, flight mode and phonebook make this phone handy as these tools have been quite the minimums on most phones from the beginning and are used to some degree by most everyone.

The Xperia X10 has proven to be extremely popular cell phone, so much so that Sony Ericsson decided to release the X10 Mini. This is one of the smallest Android based phones on the market. Despite it's small size and weight of only 88g this phone is also packed with features such as GPS navigation. Another addition to this range was the Xperia X10 Mini Pro – which is a smaller version but also manages to feature a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

Overall, the simplicity of the X10 phone makes a great product for those who don’t need or want all the flair and “high tech” features of some of the newer phones out on the market. Some people still like a phone for just that. A form of communication. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is certainly capable of providing easy means for daily usage as well as allowing the person to stay in touch with the people and associates in their lives. The price tag is a little steep for such a seemingly simple phone, but again, it does have higher end capacities without the bulk and size of some of its competitors.

LG KC910 Renoir Mobile Phone Review

LG KC910 Renoir Mobile Phone Review - The Mobile Phone With an Impeccable Camera
By Carlson Osbourne

LG has yet added one more to their series of high performance mobile phones, and this latest addition of LG KG910 mobile phone seems somewhat to be a successor to LG's popular "Viewty" model. LG has named this new inclusion after the great French artist Renoir, and, as the name suggests, LG KC910 is a blend of an artistic tinge and sophistication. The mobile phone offers one of the best in multimedia features, and with a high class camera included, the phone stands up to its name and performance, and offers users a device packed with high-end features.

The biggest attraction of the LG-KC910 mobile phone is its 8 mega-pixel camera, having a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. The system includes auto focus, image stabiliser, and a range of face detection features. These are the features which make the device one of the most popular mobile phone in the market. The 8 mega-pixel camera would give you pictures which are as better as you get with your digital camera. The built-in Xenon flash in the phone provides a much sharper picture than an ordinary LED flash unit, and the phone's built-in GPS provides features to geo-tagging.

For business users, the LG Renoir offers quite a few applications such as, document viewer (DOC, XLS, and PDF), Voice memo, and built-in hands-free operation. It is difficult to resist the LG-KC910, for it is difficult to find such a responsive touch screen that provides a 'no fuss' touch operation of the menus, even when you are changing your music tracks, playlists, or just changing your basic settings.

LG KC910 has advanced video features. The phone has the capability in playing DiVX and Xvid videos. It can also capture video with immaculate VGA resolutions. The phone records video at 5fps up to 120fps, and has the feature of both slow and fast motion. The mobile phone provides immense storage capability, coming in equipped with microSD memory card of up to 8GB, where you could store your favourite songs, pictures, videos, and documents.

LG KC910 features GPRS Class 10 having 32 - 48 kbps. It has EDGE capability, and compatible with 2G and 3G operations. The phone offers SMS, EMS, MMS, Email, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. The phone offers full call record facility of 40 dialed, 40 received, 40 missed calls, a microSD card slot with an optional memory expansion of up to 8GB. The phone supports Polyphonic and mp3 ringtones, and also offers downloadable ringtones.

To sum up this review, you cannot find a better mobile phone than LG-KC910 when you look for a similar touch screen feature, and the in-built camera. The high resolution of the camera lets you take pictures sharper than the ones you take with your digital camera. The Xenon flash gives you better picture, even in dark, with the most exquisite could-balance and quality than those ones usually having LED flash. With all its features, quality, and its looks, LG-KC910 comes out to be the most wanted mobile phone when you are looking for call quality, pictures, video shoots, and audio reception.

LG KF310 Mobile Phone Review

LG KF310 Mobile Phone Review: The Sexy Minimalist 3G Mobile Phone Bargain!
By Carlson Osbourne

Everyone that knows a little about the mobile phone designer and manufacturer LG knows of their reputation for cutting edge technologically advanced and somewhat expensive phone. If you are one of those people then you will undoubtedly expect a high end mobile to be released every year, but that is not always the case. LG have now decided to look at the lower end of the market to satisfy the technophobe and no frills sections of the population. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the LG KF310.

The LG KF310 is a minimalist’s dream. The dynamic slider features sleek, clean cut lines and a stylish black frame around the screen. However, the keypad underneath and back of the phone is a gorgeous silvery white colour that gives the handset a touch of class in addition to the fashionable appearance. If you prefer plain black phones then there is such a version of the LG KF310 handset so the choice is yours. It is easy to handle as well, with dimensions of 94 x 47 x 17mm, and feels light in the hand at just 95g.

Surprisingly, the LG KF310 has none of the fiddly buttons and extra controls that other LG handsets have had in the future, and this is definitely a good thing if you want a basic phone that can do everything apart from confuse you. The control pad on the screen face is easy to use and incredibly responsive, with the buttons on the keypad being just as responsive but very well spaced. It is perfect for chunky fingers and is easy enough to use no matter what your prior experience with mobile phones.

Delving a little deeper, there are some lovely touches just below the surface of the minimalist LG KF310 handset. Although there are fewer features than you may expect from a handset these days, those that are a part of the phone are accessible and do their jobs well. There is a 2MP camera that takes crisp images, a music player that offers an ability to play most file formats and the connectivity is excellent. With bluetooth, a capable web browser, email client and 3G on board you have plenty of options.

There are some minor niggles with the LG KF310 handset though, although most will only bother those that are used to using high specification phones. For example, the 2MP camera does not have a built in auto focus and can be a little dark at night, although the secondary video calling camera function makes up for that. It can take a while to find out where pictures are stored as well because the menu is a little more difficult to navigate than you would expect given the simplicity of the phone. Finally, there appears to be no audio jack.

Having pointed out the slight niggles, it is important to point out that the LG KF310 is an entry level 3G phone and so should not be expected to jump through hoops. It does have a memory that is expandable with a microSD card and is perfect for someone that wants a no frills phone for the basics of calling, texting, taking pictures and listening to a few tunes. What more could you ask for?

About the Author: If you want the stylish and sexy LG KF310 then head to http://emobilephonedeals.co.uk. You can choose from a huge range of contracts and free gifts with a myriad of handsets all in one place.

Samsung J700 Mobile Phone Review

By Carlson Osbourne

The mobile phone market is full of makes and models that contain absolutely everything but the kitchen sink. They have a camera that will take digital quality photos, play music to the same standard as a top of the range standalone MP3 player and contain an A4 side of features. However, if you just want a mobile phone that will play music, take photos and make calls with no hassle or fanfare then what is there for you? Well, the Samsung J700 is a great place to start!

The Samsung J700 may look like any other top of the range phone at a first glance. The slider oozes style. It is compact and can easily be carried everywhere with you without weighing your pocket down. The first thing that you will notice is the 2" screen, which does dominate the handset, but you should look a little lower to the navigation wheel. The wheel can be used to scroll through the menus and is extremely easy to operate, even without being that technically minded to begin with. Furthermore, the menus are logical so it is simple to locate exactly what you are looking for in no time at all and this is a big advantage for the Samsung J700.

The screen itself is not that impressive when the phone is in use. It only has a 128x130 pixel display with 65,000 colours. This is poor when you compare it to most of the other phones out there at the moment, but then it does highlight just how simple the functionality of this phone is. The Samsung J700 does not profess to be brilliant and fashionable, but it still does its job extremely well.

Simple But Essential Features

The Samsung J700 does have a good list of features, including A2DP, USB and bluetooth connectivity and a WAP 2.0 Internet browser. It also has EDGE and GPRS capability. As such, it has everything that most people want or need from a normal mobile phone.

The Samsung J700 also has a 1.3MP camera and a decent media player. These are often two prerequisites for the majority of people that have mobile phones Again, the J700 does not do either amazingly well, but they do the job that they were initially added to phones for - to provide their owners with a service. The camera does feature a multi-shot option as well as a timer. As such, the images are quite clear and generally turn out well.

The FM radio and MP3 capability of the media player is easy enough to work and the sound quality is good if played through headphones, but not so much if you play tunes out loud. As you can see, the features do have their advantages and their disadvantages, but the overriding point is that they do not pretend to be better than they are. They do the job well and are perfect for any individual just wanting a regular phone. However, one thing that does let it down is the 10MB of internal memory. Although you can expand it with a MicroSD card, Samsung should have been able to squeeze a little more in than that!

Overall, the Samsung J700 is an extremely attractive phone. It looks the part and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It might not be the best phone for the technology junkie but it is certainly more than capable for everyone else!

Online Mobile Phone Offers: Take 10 Minutes To Save £360 On Your Next Mobile Phone Contract
By Alistair Masterson

Cash Is Falling Out Of Your Pocket

If you live in the UK, you're probably paying line rental on a monthly mobile phone contract. In fact - if you're anything like the average mobile user in the UK, you're paying close to £300 to £400 per year in mobile line rental costs.

Why not get that £300 to £400 paid back to you? You could go travelling, buy a Playstation 3, pay for 8 months gym membership, go skiing, spoil someone special... Suffice to say, that's a healthy amount of money!

Do You Want Free Money?

Here is the good news: If you get your mobile phone deal online, you can get part or ALL of your line rental expense paid back to you, and still get a new mobile phone for free. If you know where to look online, you will find deals of far better value than you would get on the high street.

Having said that, let's see how to get free line rental for the next 12 months, on a 12 month contract...

Start Saving Within The Next 10 Minutes

1. Decide what you want in a deal - are you looking for a completely FREE deal, or are you willing to sacrifice some savings to get a more snazzy model of mobile phone? Exactly what is your budget, if any?

2. Shortcut the time and effort needed by starting with a mobile deal authority site. Search on Google with a phrase like 'Best 12 month free offers'

3. Choose a site, then have a browse through the deals and evaluate your options. Get an idea of the mobile phones and calling plans available within your budget.

4. Pick a deal and sign up.

Chaching!

You're done! You'll receive your mobile phone and contract in 1-3 days. Mail in your redemption forms on time, and depending on your deal, after a number of months you will get some or ALL of your line rental refunded to you. Lovely feeling, that.

Now, the hard part - deciding where to jet to on that extra vacation you deserve!

Sony Ericsson T250i Mobile Phone Review

Sony Ericsson T250i Mobile Phone Review - Proof That Good Mobile
Phone Handsets Can Come in Small Packages!
By Carlson Osbourne

As mobile phone technology has advanced in recent years, there has been an ongoing battle between all of the mobile phone providers to establish the best company on the market. They have all introduced phones that can do it all and look fashionable as well, but they have largely neglected the people that do not want anything flashy but would still like a capable phone… until now! The Sony Ericsson T250i is designed to cater for the people in that group and is a stylish but fantastically simple phone with excellent features and a universal appeal, but just what can the Sony Ericsson T250i offer you?

Starting with the outer casing and overall beauty of the Sony Ericsson T250i, it really is a gorgeous yet understated phone. It does not scream style but it does have a touch of class that few fashionable phones seem to have these days. The Sony Ericsson T250i actually has a brushed aluminium outer casing, with a choice of all silver or silver and black available. The candy bar style handset is also incredibly compact, light at just 85g and fits in the hand well so everyone will feel comfortable holding it.

The class of the phone does not end with the design though. Instead, it simply starts there. The menus are easy to use because everything is where it should be, thus making all the features highly accessible. This especially applies to the camera menu because the feature has its own dedicated menu, thus making its use much easier. The navigation is also made easy by the Sony Ericsson T250i’s spin effect key. Whether you have used such a key before or not, this is easy to get used to and very effective.

The VGA camera is easily the main feature of the Sony Ericsson T250i and does a fantastic job. The camera itself is not complex at all so you will take no time to get used to it, but the images its takes are fabulous. The TFT screen displays the images incredibly well, but it is the extras that make the camera feature a delight to use. There are several picture settings to choose from, a viewfinder display and a direct MMS option so you do not have to go back through the message facilities to send the images.

As you can see, the Sony Ericsson T250i is very good at what it does but many people will believe it to be a basic phone as a result of the features that are missing and one or two niggles. For example, the camera is limited by the lack of flash and auto focus, in addition to the fact that there is only 2MB of memory on board. There is also limited connectivity, with only infra red available. Finally, the feature most notable by its absence is a music player. There is no music functionality at all with the exception of an FM radio.

The Sony Ericsson T250i is a user focused mobile and would be perfect for those just looking for a simple but functional mobile. It cannot do it all, but what the Sony Ericsson T250i does do it does incredibly well. As such, it is definitely one to consider. About the Author: Looking for the Sony Ericsson T250i? You can find that handset and a range of top models at http://emobilephonedeals.co.uk in addition to value contracts and free gifts every day of the week.
